Ocean Beach San Diego Restaurant Guide

Ocean Beach

OB is San Diego’s eccentric, hippie hangout. This bohemian surf town has some delicious globally inspired dining. Head to Newport Avenue and the surrounding streets for some fun and funky food.

Ob Noodle House* – This is one of our favorite restaurants in San Diego. We weren’t pho eaters before and now we are pho believers! They blare loud, fun music and serve an extensive and impressive beer list. There is usually a wait but it is so worth it. Must have menu items: banana bread beer, hot wings, pho, and the sizzling fish. YUM!

Wonderland – Follow the cute mermaid logo to this fun, upstairs bar just steps from the sand. The food is standard trendy SoCal bar food but the views are gorgeous. The bar section is fun with oversized Jenga and other games!

Pizza Port* – Not only do they have awesome pizza but they brew their own delicious beer! The communal tables and arcade games make for a family friendly vibe. Insider Tip: Get the lunch special for a great deal.

Bo Beau* – We only went here once but it is super cute for a romantic French inspired date night. Be sure to make a reservation since it fills up. Insider Tip: Go on Tuesday for their date night special. $40 will get you two entrees and a bottle of wine.

Head to nearby Point Loma for Liberty Public Market, an indoor dining and shopping marketplace with fare from local artisans. They have everything from sushi to empanadas!
